Whitby Hydro - Corporate Secretary to the CEO
Reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the co-ordination of business activities of the President and Chief Executive Officer, Treasurer and the Board of Directors.
Education/Experience
- College/University Degree – Business Administration/Legal
- and 10 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Board Governance.
- Executive level confidential experience.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Possess strong working knowledge of current business software.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license.
Position Functions
- Assistance to the President and Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer in the overall performance and efficiencies of the Executive office.
- Update and maintain Board of Directors and management policies.
- Answer inquiries from staff that relate to the Administration Department (e.g. policies, programs)
Corporate Secretary Responsibilities
- Act as Corporate Secretary for the Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer.
- Co-ordinate meetings for the Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer preparing the necessary documentation for those meetings (agendas, minutes).
- Organize all business functions for the Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer.
- Maintain all files – General, Board of Directors Resolution files, Corporate Minute Books, By-Laws, Documents.
